Automation Developer @ Cleardata

About Me

Currently working as an Automation Developer working with Python and SQL @ Cleardata alongside my business management studies at Northumbria University, I started my journey in document imaging at a doctors practice in 2019 when I was 16. I also took a work experience opportunity at Akzo Nobel where I worked with the IT team and loved it, pushing me down the rabbithole of a technology based career. I have since worked as a Process Operator and a Service Desk Technician, where I spent 2.5 years building my technical knoweldge, giving me this springboard opportunity to kickstart my career in development at Cleardata. Im currently proficient in Python, SQL and HTML. I have begginer knowledge of JS and CSS and I'm learning Django. I use MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server Management to control my databases and I use Github for version control. Finally, I use Pycharm and Sublime Text as my main IDE's.

My personal developer portfolio website (that youre currently on!) built entirely from scratch using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The site domain is managed through Google Cloud and is hosted on DigitalOcean using their App Platform service. The site highlights my key projects and skills aswell as a mini biography to explain more about me. The site features smooth scrolling navigation, a downloadable resume, and responsive design, with some basic aninmation and interactive elements, to ensure accessibility across devices. It offers a modern, user-friendly experience for visitors to explore my work and connect via social media or email.

Shopping List app integrated with Amazon, created both as a desktop app and a Website, the former using Python, CustomTkinter and MySQL and the latter using a combination of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and MySQL with Google Cloud SQL, Fast API and Google Cloud App Engine. This app makes use of the Amazon devlopment API to connect and retrieve information from the amazon product database. This app is currently a work in progress. The idea is supposed to help people with ADHD / other neurodivergencies to take control of their spending habits and buy only what they need, to help combat negative impulsive behaviours. The desktop app and webapp are cross compatible, sharing the same data on a MySQL database set up in Google Cloud SQL.
